The tunnel and elevator bring you up high above the village providing a true sense of high mountain seclusion and tranquility with breathtaking views. Although it does not have a direct Matterhorn view, the chalet is bathed in sun as soon as it emerges. Guests can leave theirs skis and boots in the tunnel’s ski room. The entrance to the tunnel is 200 metres from the end of the ski runs beneath the Matterhorn Express lift station, just a 4 minute walk from the church square. On the ground floor you have the sitting room and an open-plan kitchen with the dining table, both giving on to the terrace accessed through French windows. There the chalet enjoys the use of its own unique private outdoor hot-tub surrounded by snow (depending on snow conditions), perfect to relax and enjoy the view (or the stars) after a long day in the mountains.
It has all the latest technology with flat-screen TVs, more than a 150 channels, a fireplace and geothermal heating to reduce the chalet’s carbon foot-print as much as possible. Chalet Pollux and Chalet Castor (sleeps 8) are adjacent to each other and opposite Chalet Ibron, as well as our other 5 star freestanding chalet, Chalet Gemini, which sleeps a further 10 people. All these chalets may be rented together (Les Perles) enabling a group of up to 16, 18, 24, 26 or 34 guests to stay in the same location while benefiting from the space and privacy that only a sole-occupancy luxury chalet can provide.
